Summer at the Ranch

We have had such a fun time with all of our guests that have come out so far this summer! We have enjoyed connecting with so many wonderful kids and families! We are excited  to continue with our Jr. and Family Roundups later in August through October (as weather allows). See the calendar here to sign up for a Roundup this Fall.

Boulder County Fair Opportunities

We are busy gearing up for the Boulder County Fair that runs through the first half of August. This is a packed time for us as we have lots of our critters at the Fair, many of which are representing Guided Hope. Come find us, August 4th and 5th from 1-5pm in Barn B, in the SW corner, where you will find some of our animals from the farm that would love a visit!

Come see the Working Ranch Horse Show (8/3 5:30pm Indoor Arena), Western Horse Show (8/4 12:00pm Indoor Arena) and Reining Horse Show (8/4 5:30pm Indoor Arena), where you will see some familiar faces from the Ranch.

If your kiddos would like to participate in the PeeWee or Novice Showmanship events, here are some fun opportunities: Goat Novice and PeeWee Showmanship (8/9 6:30pm Barn A & B), Rabbit PeeWee Showmanship (8/10 3pm Exhibit Building), Sheep PeeWee Showmanship (8/10 4pm Barn A), Goat (8/12 12:00pm Barn A), PeeWee Livestock Showmanship (8/12 10:30am Barn B). *All times are approximate, please see Boulder County Fair Events Calendar for the complete list of activities and events.

Here are more details, if you would like to participate in the PeeWee or Novice Showmanship events: You don’t need to sign up ahead of time, you can do that at the time of the event. Kids can dress however they like, Western attire isn’t required, but certainly may make them feel the part! Kids can show ANY of the 4-H animals, they are not limited to Guided Hope animals. Plan on about an hour per event.

Don’t forget to stop by the Dairy Bar in the Exhibition Building for a yummy shake or cold treat! Proceeds go towards the Bo.Co. 4-H Youth programs.

Prayers and Praises

We are happy to report that Trace, our Palomino, has made great progress in his healing while on stall rest! He isn’t quite ready to go back to work yet, but we are thankful for the improvement in his hips.

We are so thankful for a new (to us) truck! Guided Hope has been needing a truck that meets our needs for quite some time, and we have finally found one, thanks to a very generous donation!

Please continue to pray for the families and individuals that come to our Roundups, that they would find hope and encouragement through their time at Guided Hope. Pray that we would be a beacon of the love of Christ to those in need!

Pray for our staff, ranch hands volunteers and wranglers- without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!

We would like to continue offering Roundups through the Fall, as weather allows, and to do that, we need more Wranglers so that we can open up the schedule for more Roundups. Read more here, if this is something that you would like to learn more about.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support! We are so blessed by our Guests, Volunteers, Supporters and Donors!

For His Glory!
